Parallel On-line Testing for Digital Microfluidic Biochip

Abstract: A new parallel on-line testing scheme for digital microfluidic biochips was proposed. The biochip array under test is divided into same-size sub-arrays first, and these sub-arrays are tested parallel under biochip module placement constraints in the bioassay process. The proposed scheme reduces the number of test droplets and test application time efficiently, and it would not disturb the bioassay process. The experimental results also prove the efficiency of the proposed on-line test scheme.
