Abstract: The model of hybrid system was built using modular modelling method to compare the effect of different connection methods on the system performance. Characteristics of fuel cell stacks and hybrid system were compared when the fuel and oxidant are both series and series fuel and parallel oxidant. The condition that fuel and oxidant are both parallel was viewed as an example and the comparisons between different connection methods and example were completed. The results show that the fuel cell stack can be cooled better and the temperature distributions are uniform with the fuel and oxidant are both series, so the performance of whole hybrid system is better.
