Abstract: This study investigated the optimization of mistjetting electrical discharge machining (EDmilling) process. Firstly, experiments were carried out to choose the ranges of parameters such as ton/toff, milling layer depth(MLD)and tool electrode wall thickness for optimization. Then a set of experiments was designed based on Taguchi method to investigate these effects of main machining parameters on the material removal rate(MRR) and tool wear ratio(TWR). The analysis of variance(ANVOA) results show that the ton/toff has a dominate influence on the MRR and the influences of the machining parameters on the TWR are negligible. A higher MRR is obtained through the optimized parameters. Key words:
