Abstract: Aiming at the curtain wall structure of Shanghai Center Tower, this paper established a finite element model of the realscale building by considering the combination of the curtain wall and the principal structure, then the lower order modes of the building was predicted. The distribution of the acceleration magnification factor, interstory drift ratio and stress of supporting structures was investigated under light earthquake and severe earthquake. The numerical results indicate that the designed curtain wall structure has an outstanding performance on seismic resistance, and it meets the requirement of the engineering application.
