What Is the Nature of Higgs Field?

Abstract: The discovery of the Higgs boson explains the origin of the mass of elementary particles, which is the cornerstone of the Standard Model (SM). The comprehensive studies of the Higgs boson field and properties will help to understand several fundamental questions, such as electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism, dark matter, electroweak phase transition, and matter and antimatter asymmetry.
