How High Energy Can Humans Accelerate Particles?

Abstract: High-energy particles are the most powerful tools for exploring the microscopic structure of matter and unraveling the structure and evolution of the universe, but it is unknown how high energy humans can accelerate particles due to the limited acceleration field strength and distance of accelerators. Recently, a series of novel acceleration technologies, such as plasma acceleration and laser acceleration, have the potential to greatly improve the energy of accelerated particles and provide more powerful tools for human exploration of the nature.
