Performance Prediction of Transonic Axial Compressor at Offdesign Points

Abstract: The improved loss and deviation models for transonic compressor were developed based on 2D streamline curvature method according to public research findings. Considering 3D and Reynolds effects, the internal flow field of transonic compressor rotorNASA rotor 37 was calculated, thus obtaining the characteristic curve of design and offdesign points. The comparison of simulation and experiment value shows that this method can predict the performance and distribution of parameter with higher accuracy for axial compressor, and can be used for optimization and design of compressor.
