Abstract: The communicationnavigationidentification (CNI) system of attack helicopter represented by AH64D “Apache” was introduced. The distributed integrated modular avionics (DIMA) architecture based on time triggered mechanism was analyzed. An architecture of CNI system based on DIMA architecture and common object request broker architecture (CORBA) logical software bus technology was built. The results show that this architecture achieves to support high integration of communication resources which are close to RF frontend by building distributed system architecture and high fault tolerance communication network, adapts to natural cooling condition for attack helicopter, and meets the maintenance requirements of rapid fault propagation.

Key words: attack helicopter, communicationnavigation-identification (CNI) system, distributed integrated modular avionics (DIMA), common object request broker architecture (CORBA) logical soft bus
