Abstract: The saturated sands compression tests were carried out in the lab to study the deformation behavior by 1D compression test system of high-frequency vibration. The effects of vibration time, amplitude of dynamic stress and relative density on the relationship between residual deformation and vibration frequency were investigated. The experimental results show that the plastic residual deformation of saturated sands decreases with the increasing of vibration frequency under high-frequency vibration, and the relationship of logarithmic residual deformation and vibration frequency is approximately linear. The changing values of residual deformation are caused by vibration time, amplitude of dynamic stress and relative density, but the relationship between residual deformation and vibration frequency wouldn’t change. Under the same conditions, the plastic residual deformation of saturated sands is greater than dry sands’.
