Abstract: Driven by a vast number of distributed objects and emerging business demands, energy and power terminals are evolving towards decoupling software from hardware and applications from data. Cloud-native technology possesses the ability to enable flexible restructuring of energy and power terminals. The compatibility between cloud-native elements and power business in this paper, which proposes the concept of digital energy terminals based on cloud-native technology and introduces its basic architecture; then taking the construction of a specialized computing power network for the energy and power system as the focus, an overview of existing work in the "electric power + cloud-native" field is provided from aspects such as computing load models, computing resource models, and optimization of computing supply and demand matching, and the direction of subsequent work is discussed; finally, the outlook of the technology ecosystem of cloud-native based digital energy terminals is provided, pointing out that the research and application of cloud-native based digital energy terminals are of great significance for supporting the digital transformation of the energy and power system and fostering a new ecosystem in the energy and power industry.

Key words: digital energy terminal, cloud-native, computing load, computing resources, computing supply and demand balancing
