Applications of Micro Synchronous Phasor Measurement Units in State Estimation of Smart Distribution Network

Abstract: Due to the dual constraints of energy and the environment, China will vigorously develop distributed power supplies, electric vehicle replacement facilities and demand response resources. First, the smart distribution network will be presented in a new form: distributed and indefinite distributed generation is increasing; the operation mode of the distribution network is changing, the power electronics are obvious; the load is diversified and interactive. It is difficult for conventional distribution network measuring devices and state estimation methods to accurately characterize dynamic characteristics. Then the functions of the synchronous phasor measurement unit (PMU) and the necessity of the application in the distribution network are discussed. The domestic and foreign research of the miniature synchronized phasor measurement unit and the distribution network state estimation technology is systematically reviewed. Finally, the PMU measurement characteristics are introduced and analyzed comprehensively to improve the performance of smart distribution network state estimation.
