Robust Tolerance Design Method Based on Cooperative Game

Abstract: This paper proposed a robust tolerance design method combining the Nash bargaining analysis in the cooperative game theory and the modeling of robust tolerance design for assembly products. First, the assembly quality and cost considering the robust design request are considered to be the multiobjective optimization objectives. Then a game model is established by identifying the players, the payoff functions and classifying the players’ strategies. Finally, the Nash bargaining method of the cooperative game theory is given. This method is applied to an example of vehicle front structure assembly. The result of the game method compared with the single objective optimization methods shows the feasibility of the procedure in engineering application.
