Abstract: By introducing the concept of strictly asymptotically quasipseudocontractive mappings, the stability of the Ishikawa iterative processer for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in the intermediate sense and strictly asymptotically quasipseudocontractive mappings in arbitrary real Banach spaces were investigated. Our results improved and extended the recent corresponding results.
