A Novel Multilayered Crosscoupled Substrate Integrated Waveguide Filter in Lowtemperature Cofired Ceramic

Abstract: A fourthorder multilayered crosscoupled filter realized by substrate integrated waveguide structure was proposed. A new topology was adopted to construct the filter. Due to the presence of the crosscoupling between nonadjacent resonators, two finite frequency transmission zeros near the passband are produced to improve the performance of the filter. The filter was designed and simulated by high frequency structure simulator (HFSS), and fabricated using eightlayer lowtemperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) technology. The measured results show a good agreement with the simulated results and validate the structures of the proposed filter.
