Light Source Optimization of Surface Defect Detection of Brake Master Cylinder Pistons

摘要:

分析了柱塞式汽车制动器总泵活塞表面的缺陷特点及其视觉成像难点,设计并优化了适用于柱塞式活塞表面缺陷机器视觉检测的立体组合光源,通过柔和光线设计减少了检测图像的噪点.同时,建立了光线发射-反射-成像全过程的光强度折损数学模型,对光源和镜头采用偏振光滤除技术,通过合理选择偏振片的透振方向,达到了减弱无缺陷位置亮度、减小反光带宽度和增强图像对比度的效果,通过光源优化,对活塞表面缺陷进行了图像采集,并建立了表面缺陷类型数据库.经样本数量为300的随机抽样实验结果表明,优化光源系统后的视觉检测无漏检现象发生,误检率不大于2%,达到了预期效果.

Abstract:

The characteristics of the defects on the automotive brake master cylinder piston and the difficulties in visual imaging were analyzed. The tridimensional combination system of multiple light sources was designed, which was suitable for the surface defect detection of the piston. Soft light was designed to reduce the noise in the detection image. The mathematical model of light intensity loss in the process of light emissionreflectionimaging was established. The polarization filtering method was proposed and used on the vertical light source and the camera lens. By choosing the polarizing direction of polarizing film, the brightness of the area without defect and the width of the reflective band could be reduced, and the image contrast enhanced. The defects on the piston surface were systematically image captured with the new light source system. The random sampling experiment with 300 sample size shows that the vision inspection after the optimization of light sources has no leak detection. The false positive rate is not more than 2%. The research conclusions can be further applied into other surface defect visual inspection areas.
