Abstract  Missile weapon equipment is currently characterized by a trend towards technology-intensive, diverse mission specifications, and complex functionalities. Faced with high-speed technological iterations, the conventional approach of independent development using a single specification suffers from disadvantages such as high development costs, low technological reusability, tight coupling of components, and complex system interconnections. This study focuses on the emerging software-defined system technology, providing a summary of critical sub-technologies including open software-defined system architecture, model-driven plus software-defined system development, software-defined system application service management framework, payload rapid access management based on software-defined, and software-defined elastic network. This study also elaborated on the development status and deficiencies of relevant technologies and analyzed the development trend of software-defined system technology in our country, thus providing a reference for breakthroughs in related technological challenges in missile weapon equipment.
