Abstract  The damage effect on the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) shell made of ABS plastics by using continuous pulse laser is simulated by means of Lommel 3D diffraction integral and considering the defocus aberration and the beam broadening caused by atmospheric transmission. The damage threshold of the UAV shell is obtained through static damage test. The effectiveness of 100kW and 200kW laser weapon system is evaluated, and the corresponding kill zone is given.
