Abstract  In order to improve the capability of situational awareness,target recognition as well as fast decision making,and to strike targets accurately in complex and varying battlefield environments as well as fierce countermeasure circumstances, the application of intelligent technology in precision strike system is reviewed. The challenges to precision strike systems are summarized. The contribution of artificial intelligence technology to the improvement of the operational effectiveness of precision strike system is introduced. The requirements of intelligent technology for precision strike system are analyzed. The application of intelligent technology in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance chains as well as precision engagement chain of precision strike system is addressed. Key technologies for intelligent precision strike system are discussed.
