Abstract: In order to study the influence of different parameters on the flexural performance of pipe-roof pre-construction (PRP) structure components, experiment of 12 flexural specimens was conducted with cross-section variation, setting steel pipe curtain and connectors, as well as the reinforcement ratio as parameters in this paper. Crack development and failure modes of different specimens were compared. Rulers of deflections, and strains in all specimens were analyzed. Experimental results indicate that: the change of cross section height has little effect on the bearing capacity of reinforced concrete (RC) members; steel pipe curtains have significantly contribution on the load carrying capacity of PRP flexural components; the mechanical properties of PRP flexural components can be enhanced by replacing stirrup as connectors; the increase of reinforcement ratio can improve the bearing capacity of flexural components. According to experimental results, the current calculation method of flexural bearing capacity of PRP structure was evaluated; and PRP structure with connectors, named as new pipe-roof pre-construction structure (NPRP), was recommended in the project.
