Virtual Reality Grid Environment for Collaborative Assembly Simulation

摘要: 针对复杂产品装配设计过程中,零部件模型众多,数据量巨大,一般虚拟装配仿真软件无法进行实时处理的问题,提出了一种新型虚拟现实网格环境.该系统通过网格资源管理及共享技术聚合企业大量空闲计算资源,采用基于Sortlast算法和远程视频可视化的并行渲染框架支持实时交互式装配仿真.在汽车装配工位协同仿真中,该系统的主要设计功能和目标得到确认.仿真结果表明,在现有软硬件环境下,该系统能够较好解决大规模复杂场景的实时处理问题,同时可显著提高资源利用效率.

Abstract: Because of numerous component models and massive dataset in assembly design for complex product, common virtual assembly software can not process them in realtime mode. A new virtual reality grid environment was proposed, which uses grid resource management and shared technology to aggregate large numbers of idle resources in enterprise; uses parallel rendering framework based on Sortlast algorithm and remote video visualization to support realtime interactive assembling simulation. After taking a collaborative simulation for automotive assembling workstation, the main functions and design objectives of the system were affirmed. The result shows that the system can better solve the problem of realtime process for large complex scene in the present conditions of hardware, and observably improve the usage efficiency of enterprise resources.
